Bobtailed Crimson Trace?
Has anyone ever Bobtailed or seen a Bobtailed Crimson Trace Laser Grip for a 1911?
I know the on/off switch is very close to or within the area needing removed, but I didn’t know how close.
The Crimson Trace Grips are not solid all the way through, but I thought after the cut was made, an epoxy or some type of poly filler could be injected into the opening to fill in any void. This could then be colored and smoothed to match.
The quickest way to see if this could be done would be to line up a Bobtailed right side grip panel to the left side of the stock Crimson Trace Grip Panel. I just don’t have any Crimson Trace Laser Grips and thought someone might know or might want to give it a try.
Bobtailed with a Crimson Trace... that would be ideal.

Call them up. That's what I did. I wanted to find out if the SIG 220 CT grips would fit on the Euro 220 with the butt magazine release.
But, because the Euro frame is slightly different in that area they told me no.
I sent them close up DIG pics of the frame area and they had their technical person check out the pics.
They were very decent and polite about it.
You could probably find out your answer just with a simple phone call.
Can any forum member take a pic or two of the flip sides of a set of Crimson Trace 1911 grips?
That sure might help this member out.

Yeah, I was quite disappointed when i found out that it wasn't possible. AND lasermax doesn't do an internal laser for commander length 1911's. Lame.
