    My Twins!

Well almost! Both are 3" 1911 carry 45's with slim carry grips (stock on the SA and Chip McCormick's on the Kimber). Just got the SA Micro off Gunbroker for $750. Looks almost NIB, pretty sweet deal (2 mags and 2 grips as well). The Kimber Ultra I got a few weeks ago NIB for $1039. They both are shooting NICE! Only thing I don't like on the SA is the nub that sticks out from the grip safety. You have to hold onto these little 45's firm or they cause limp wristing. The nub starts hurting the hand.

That reminds me of the PC Game Hitman! There's an upcoming movie based on it too. I think he carries twin Desert Eagles!

Very nice. I love the two tone look. The grip safety nub is called a speed bump. Some people like em for a more positive disengagement of the grip safety.

As mentioned, that 'Nub" or speed bump is intended to cause a more positive actuation of the grip safety. Some folks (me included) have found that some holds on the pistol allowed you to not actuate the grip safety, especially when riding the thumb safety. I would like to put a speed bump on my Kimber Ultra Carry II but that isn't cheap. If I remember correctly, it was a high hold on the pistol that caused the problem. Experiment with both of your pistols and you will probably see what I mean.

Never had a problem with the Kimber. I would think if you're high enough, or don't have a full grip at the bottom, the speed bump wouldn't do anything anyway. The bump doesn't concern me for CCW, just after extended shooting at the range.
