I would go with the SIG. The Walthers don't do much for me personally, if you want a pistol of that style I would look at Glocks the Springfield XDs.

I think you may be confusing Sig Sauer with Smith & Wesson. S&W are the ones offering a 50 dollar rebate and two free mags.

    Recommend Sig

The only Sig that I would really call "small" in a significant caliber is the model P239, which is a single stack gun having a slim profile, available in 9mm. .40 and .357 Sig, and having these specs:

    Caliber: 9mm
    Overall Length: 6.6 inches
    Overall Height: 5.1 inches
    Barrel Length: 3.6 inches
    Weight empty: 27.5 oz
    Sight Radius: 5.2 inches
    Mag Capacity: 8
    Available Finishes: Nitron, Two-Tone

In choosing between the Walther P99 and this Sig for CCW, I would go with the Sig because I believe I can shoot it more accurately and rapidly due to the extra weight and better trigger compared to the Walther (assuming same caliber for both).

Though I'm not in the market for either, I'm curious why the SIG is polling ahead of the Walther here. What special goodness does the SIG have that the Walther doesn't have?

I have a Walther P99 and I can't figure it out either. I was shooting with a very experienced friend who knows a heck of a lot more than me about guns. He carries a Sig. He shot my Walther and was very impressed with the accuracy and quality. For various reasons he didn't like the gun for him but sure was impressed with it. The primary reason for not liking it was the ski hump in the trigger but that has nothing to do with quality.

I shot his Sig but I felt more comfortable with the Walther.

I say handle both for 15 or 20 minutes a couple of different times. Then choose the Walther.
