That is sooooo nice, my friend!

I have owned a few of them , and sadly recently sold my last pre 27/28 . That looks to be a fine example tho in good shape . One of the things i appreciate on the old models is the hand filed checkering on the sight plane . It really does not work better , but visuals and quality ... dayummm lol . I do love old smiths and it saddens me to think that the glock , hk , kahr , ect .. will be the examples of quality of our generation .

    Beautiful gun

Your model 27 with 3.5 inch barrel is a very attractive gun. I wish I had one just like it.

My model 27, which was manufactured about 1957, has the 8-3/8 inch target barrel. I bought it used in 1967 and have owned it for 40 years. Recently I put some Ahrends grips on the gun:

Oh yeah, that's a classic! And so is Pogo's beauty. You're a very lucky man.

    I love my 3.5 inch 27-2. I'm looking for 5 screw pre-27s and pre-28s now.
I'll take a .45 and a large side of JHPs, please.
