Nope! From the owners manual, page 13:

“Plus-P-Plus (+P+) ammunition must not be used in Smith & Wesson firearms. This marking on the ammunition designates that it exceeds established industry standards, but the designation does not represent defined pressure limits and therefore such ammunition may vary significantly as to the pressures generated.

Eagle5 hit the nail on the head +P+ is usually a no-no , why is it made? Who knows?

But as it exceeds industry standards, and no one really uses it in their tests, I'd just stick with regular +P if that's your thing.

Besides, how fast do you really need a 9mm to get there? I think +P is going to get to your target quick enough.

I've been shooting ranger +p+ with my MP9c and no worries. I don't shoot them often but have shot over 250 so far.

Same here. Esp. in a compact, +p+ is where it's at.

Ditto- I have a M&P 9c and shoot the 127gr Winchester Ranger +P+ in it for my carry ammo- I've shot 100 rounds of it - not a single problem. Recoil is fine and it is super accurate! Would I shoot it all the time for practice? No. Too expensive plus I imagine it would creat accelarated wear and tear on the pistol. But it's the best 9mm defensive load out there.

+P ammo exceeds SAAMI specificatins on operating pressures for that specific cartridge. Most manufactures are going to say that it is "NOT" +P rated due to liability concerns.

The M&P very well maybe built to handle +P rated cartridges but your probably not going to here them say it in a SEMI auto. Now a .38 +P is a differn't story.

Its kind of the same reason why Federal, Winchester, or Remington will NOT sell +P rated cartridges to the civilian public. These are company policies.

Now what they will do is sell them to a LE distributor and then the LE distributor sells them to the civilian market. Its not against the law just against company policies for quote unquote Liability concerns.
