    Choosing Glock 26 Or 19

I have a G26 but I usually use it with the +2 in the magazine. Can you help me? The reason is that I can get a new 19 here in the local gunshop, i live in Maracaibo (Venezuela). I had a G-17, I loved that gun, but it was dificult for me to conceal (I'm 1.71m tall). 9mm is the reasonable caliber here because is too hard get .40S&W or .45ACP.
Well Iīm waiting for your always helpful answers.
    (Excuse my english).

I would say get it, you have better capacity and easier ergonomics with a G19 over a G26. With a good quality holster, should not be much different than your G26.

I would go with the G19... once you factor in the mag extension on your 26, you're already at a 19 grip size, so you might as well upgrade to the 19.

Also, you're English is just fine... much better than my Spanish I'm sure.

buy it, you can not have to many glocks. with the +2 on the g26 mag the g26 is the same size as the g19. but you don't get them same amount of rounds as the g19.

I always carry a G-17 mag for reload if I need to. Shooting the 26 with the 17 mag is ok for me.

Venezuela allows civilian ownership of firearms?

Does Venezuela allow the carrying of weapons?

If I had the choice, and I do, I would choose the G19. Glock's compact size guns (19, 23, ...) are the best size and carry capacity (15+1) guns.

The G19 is said to be perfect size. Big enough to fight with , small enough to conceal. While I do not carry a Glock , I feel a G19 size would be my choice.

I have both, and I use the 26 far more often. I use the 26 for pocket carry when I can't wear a cover garment, and carry my XD 45 on my belt in an IWB holster when I can. If I were to carry one of the Glocks on my belt, it would ben the 19. If you can afford it, get both and enjoy!

Yes we can legally carry handguns. With a 3 years valid permission.
Normally up to 9mm in pistols and .38Spl in revolvers. There are few (political exceptions).

I bought a G19 and really like it but Iím sure at some point Iím going to get a G26 too. I can think of too many times where the 19 would be just large enough that Iíd be tempted to leave it behind, if I had the 26 I could just carry it instead and the mags from the 19 would work in it. If you have the 26 the 19 would be a good addition, but I donít think Iíd trade one for the other.

As you can see Iím an expert in justifying the purchase of additional firearms. Do you want to hear my line for buying another AR? ........... Thatís ok, my wife didnít want to hear it either.

Carry the G19...use the 26 as a BUG (back up gun)
Same mags...the additional cap of the 17 mags for both guns is a plus
