Glock magazine springs are notoriously stiff. You may have to really work to get that last round in there, I believe that the pistol includes a magazine loader which should save your fingertips some wear.

Put 5 or 6 rounds in the mag while your watching tv and then unload. Repeat.

    The spring will get softer.

Shooting it will loosen the srping up!

If you have extended baseplates installed, you may have to lightly sand and buff the back of the follower as well. Make sure that when the baseplate was installed that the 'keeper' plate was installed with the vertical guide toward the back of the mag.

Your first 25 loadings on the new mag will be stiff. Storing it fully loaded will not help--go shoot 500 rounds through it!

I had the same problem with my 27 and it took a while to work the spring down.

Get you a "sissy loader". It makes it much easier, especially those last couple of rounds.

This might be the "sissy loader" robere's referring to.

Glock27mark, Just load the mags and let them sit for a couple of days. Then empty them out, and reload. Easier on the fingers and has worked everytime for me.

    Normal

What they said. The last round is a bear to get in. I'm no wuss, and I had awful trouble getting the 13th round in my new G23 mags. Basically, I ended up cramming in in there by leaning against the edge of a counter. Then I left it in there for a coupla days. After a while it got much easier to load.

Some people swear by those 'sissy loaders', but personally I can't stand them. For me, they are slower to load with. Never got 'mag thumb', so never saw the need for them.

If it does, then I am, too!
