How would I go about shortening and lightening the trigger pull on a
kt p3at? Can it be done?
Make sure you get full value out of today , Do something worthwhile, because what you do today will cost you one day off the rest of your life .
We only begin to understand folks after we stop and think .
Criminals are looking for victims, not opponents.
I do not know the answer to your questions and this is not exactly responsive to your question but we found this quite helpful on P3 triggers---
We did not like the way the P3 trigger quickly angled forward at the end so I Dremeled about 3 mm off the tip of one. This slightly enlarged the working trigger guard hole, terminated trigger finger bang for spousette and the trigger no longer pricked her finger.
Triggering was more natural so I did mine too.
Believe the trigger on the KT is about 5-6 pounds. Our regular ride alongs are SW revolvers with at least 8 to 10+ pounds. Bet you already know KT sez the long trigger is in effect the safety.
Its just curiousity getting the better of me.
1 ounce trigger pull !!
Watched the first few episodes of 'Have Gun Will Travel' a few weeks ago (thanks to Netflix.com) where Paladin sez his custom 45 has a one ounce trigger pull.
My P3AT's trigger went from wretched to merely bad with use. At around 600 rounds through the pistol I found myself thinking, "that's not so wretched".
