Hk45? Anyone?????
Has anyone had any experince with this new gun? It was supposedly heavily influenced by Ken Hackathorn, and Michael Vickers, two men who from what I have read have extensive military and LE experience. I have read a few favorable gun mag reports. I want to hear what the common man thinks. I am still pretty settled on a p220 DAK. If I do get the chance I would like to handle this gun, and compare.

I looked at one last week. Still has the LOOOONNG 1 round DA trigger pull. The ambi mag relase, slide release is nice
I'll be looking at picking one up when possible

Ditto.
From what I've read and deduced, it's a fair improvement over a full-sized USP 45.
Grip width of a 45 USPc,
interchangable backstrap, ambi slide stop and improved mag release of the P30,
lowered bore axis, and buffer system on the recoil guide.
Slap an ambi safety/fire control lever on it and it becomes my number one choice for my next polymer framed 45, especially since FN seems to be having some issues with the FNP45.

I've had mine two weeks now and have about 650rds through it so far. Have to say it is my favorite pistol to date. As soon as I can put a combat competition trigger and tritium/fiber optic sights on it it'll be perfect. It shoots and feels excellent as is but I'd like to get rid of the safety, I have the CC trigger on my USP and it's hard to make myself like anything else for a duty gun.
