I recently picked up another one, mines from 1969. I waited to find a used one that was made in Belgium.

Had another I bought new in the late 70's as well.

Nice guns, the classic high cap 9mm IMO, but I don't carry cocked and locked anymore so it's just a safe queen.

Have a FM HiPower myself. Carry it more than my Glock19 nowadays.
    Glock 19/FEG/FM HiPowers/Keltec P32 for me. When I can't use my 870,N98 or Marlin .30-30 of course...

I read a bunch of reviews on the Charles Daly Hi Power. All who actually owned and shot one rated it very favorably. Apparently, according to the reviewers, parts are interchangeable. They are at least $200 less than Browning/FN.

I have one enroute. I believe it will serve it's purpose.

I don't carry mine, but I love to shoot it.

Yo Macklin, great party, but no whiskey. We go home now.

My Charles Daly Hi power arrived a few minutes ago. For the money and for it's intended purpose (plinking and possibly IDPA) it should be fine. The finish is fine and it function checks well. I disassembled it on my desk (pro gun employer) and it looks (tool mark wise) like my FN in .40 S&W. The frame to slide fit is looser than I care for but that can be tightened.

I'll test drive it in the pasture when I get home tonight.
