    Anyone carry a Glock 30?

I'm debating what I should buy for my first CCW. On top of my short list is the Glock 30.

Does anyone here own a Glock 30? If so, how do you like it for CCW use?

Yes. It's great. I roll in Sidearmor IWB for a holster. It was my first carry gun. I've had it for about 5 years.

I do carry my 30 occasionally, and love the gun. A little thick, but it is 10 rounds of .45 in a sub compact, so it should be. Of course, it is totally reliable and the recoil is not bad at all.

Nice photo! What kind of barrel is that? I'm thinking about getting a Storm Lake barrel for my G27. Ever have any problems with your barrel? It looks really good in contrast to the black slide!

I carry one for most of the year, except summer months (a t-shirt can't really conceal it for me). I absolutely love it, it's a great gun. Large caliber, high capacity, and totally reliable, all in a relatively small package. It is kind of thick though, not a big issue for concealment, but it does feel slightly like a 2x4.

Thanks. It's a KKM Precision barrel. I got it to shoot lead but I also shoot 45 Super in my G30. I got a Wolff guide rod and 21# spring as well as the 4.5# connector and Heinie Slant Pro night sights. Never had any problems. I am very happy with my barrel. They are pricey at $175 but I think it is money well spent. You'd be hard pressed to find a better quality barrel.

    +1

It is great little package. I find the recoil relatively mild and the gun to be very accurate.

G30 was my first CCW gun, and the gun I learned on. You could do a lot worse. Just be sure you're up for what the ammo costs.

That would be Hornady TAP 200grn +P XTP (Extreme Terminal Performance)
You should not have cracks in the frame. send it back to Glock ASAP.
My G30 will happily eat anything I feed it and come back for more.

Don't have a G30............ yet. But I do like and carry my other Glocks,
G19,23,26 & 27. All are great performers. I know they'll go BANG, when called upon and will hit what I'm shooting at. I carry the G27 most often and shoot the
    G26 & 19 a bunch has I have a lot of 9mm ammo laying around.

You will def like it. I carry mine off and on. Swtiched to the g27 during the summer but now that it is cold out I will probably go back to it. Fits the hand pretty well. As others have said, it is pretty wide but with the right clothes it hides well enough.
It shoots really well too. I don't mind the recoil at all but I havent met a handgun yet that bothers me all that much. The wide grip helps to displace the recoil so it seems pretty soft to me.
I'm sure you'll enjoy it if you get one.

I love my Glock30. I am 5'8" and about 165lbs and it conceals easily with a C-tac holster. I even conceal it in the hot Arizona summer. I do have an sp101 when I am wearing light shorts and a t-shirt. Buy it they are very accurate. By the way I shoot GD 230grn +p's and have never had any problems..i.e. cracks. Glocks are tanks and I trust my life on them.

I wanted one so bad, when I went to the gun shop there were none..not even used.
    So I got "stuck" w/a glock 23...
But I still desire the 30.
