Right now 1 vote for each----so maybe you should buy all 3

An ounce of lead is worth 200lbs of cop.
None of the above. My choices would be an XD 45 5" Tactical, a 45 cal Kahr (I forget the model number), or possibly a 357 mag revolver. But that's if I'm stuck on hand guns. First, I'd like a Socom II, an AK 47, or sometime in 2008, a Magpul Masada.
Head for the range that has a good selection and try the ones that would work best for you.
Try before you buy is the best bet.
I would like to try be 4 I buy, but no one in Anchorage, Alaska has an in door range that dose that.
Out of the list provided, I would go for the XD9SC. I admire Glocks and their profound reputation for reliablity and support, but the Glock just doesn't work for me. I really liked Springfield's XD (that was until S&W came out with the M&P) and own an XD9SC. It has been a very good gun and has given me no problems in over two years of abuse.
I would get a Kimber Ultra CDP II. I want this so badly right now!!! That's my vote.

On your list, the G23, not on your list, either a G19 or a S&W M&P 9mm.
We just got an XD9SC (I guess for the holidays). The performance of our 45 service made it easy to choose another XD. The 9 ammo is still cheap and 10+1 is not a joke.
Honestly any of your choices are great firearms.
I had the Glock 23 - sold it. Purchased a Glock 27. I like the 27, but to be honest I long for the 23 again. By the time I added mag extensions for extra capacity - I was back at a 23 grip size - or close. Since the grip is the hardest thing to conceal - I should have just kept my 23. The 27 shoots just as well as the 23. You really won't go wrong with either a 23 or a 27. In my area, the Glock wins on price too!
Well it looks like XD will win.. so now my next question is should i go with the SUB- compact or the compact.... but it will be a .40 i think. This will also be for range and some times my CW.
G23, and enjoy.

I can't vote for the listed choices as I scarcely know much about them.
My small framed wife favors my original WWI Colt 1911 above all other handguns. She shoots it well and is confident in its dependability and it's .45 cartridge. She occasionally totes a S&W Model 642 but fusses about it when she does.
