I accidentally swallowed a Benjamin .177 pellet in 1968 and am still waiting for something to happen. Does that count as proper lead exposure?

I've had this weird habit for ages of missing targets when I least expect it.
642 pocket carry w/ the 135 gr gold dots.speedloader in back pocket.also just recently switched to pocket carrying a Bulldog 44spl.w/200 gr silver tips, also speedloader in back pocket.aside from occasionally sitting on them and getting goosed,I don't have a problem.:biggrin2:
I just carry 2 hks speedloaders in pocket. Winter jacket pocket or summer left pants pocket. I iwb a bobbed 2 1/4" sp101. Its loaded with 125 grain remington sjhp's. I love these factory rounds. You can buy em by a box of 100 at gander mountain. Gander mountain sells guns at high price in my area but they are good for huge ammo selections. Not a bad deal on the 100 round box's of this stuff.
I have a 642 that I carry w/ Corbon 110gr DPX, used to carry Speer gold dot 135 +p, The Corbon seems to have less recoil. Sometimes I'll carry a speed strip, usually not.
I have a S&W 640 ("J"frame), Speed Loaders don't work cleanly so I use Speed Strips! :yup:
I carry 125gr JHPs.
You pick up more lead just walking around than you would from carrying a box worth of lead ammo in your pocket.
The 158 grain +P is a good load, but there are better loads out there now. I carry Remington 125 Grain +P SJHP's or various Cor Bon loads. To me the DPX is the "Cat's Meow" but it can be hard to get.
So, in short, no lead exsposure concerns IMHO, and check around for a better load, they are out there.
Biker :urla9ub:
Remington 125gr +P SJHP's in my Model 60 Snubby...
Rarely carry a speed strip....... I probably should though.
JP
S&W 637 in pocket with HKS speedloader with Hornady XTP/JHP 140grain in other pocket.

A 642 with 135g Gold Dots, Nike shoes, by the time the last one of 5 is fired, well you know the rest.
Me too- 135g Speer short barrel Gold Dot= 124g+p 9mm per NYPD in terms of penatration and expansion.
Spare ammo carried in a speed loader (S&W 442 or Colt Dectective Spl)
Been in three armed encounters; no one reloaded-believe the Feds on that one.
I am kinda partial to my .45LC 2" snub, Kinda conceited in that I dont always carry a reload. Cause I punch big holes. But when I do its a HKS in my front pocket. With 225 gr hollowpoints. Full lead rounds.
Probably will never need to reload a snubbie but it fits in a watch pocket nicely...so what the heck..135 +p Gold dots...they seem to be the prefered round these days..

38 +P Federal 129 gr. Hydra Shok with one speed strip; sometimes have speed loader too.
I also sometimes carry two snubbies.
Glod Dot SB .357Mag carried in a speed strip in the watch pocket of my jeans.
