My early christmas present
My new S&W 640-3. just wondering what everybody carries thier j frames in it seems like this will be a bit big to carry in my front pocket, so I think i'm out on that. I also thought of a kramer belt scabard or some other type of belt holster any pics would be great.

Now, go try to wear it out. Bet you can't do it!
Congratulations.

Congrats on a great purchase. I love my 640-1 and can practice with 38 all day long with no hand pain. I prefer to carry my 640-1 in a Matt Del Fatti belt holster but I agree with you. I would go with a Kramer belt scabard. The 640 and kramer would make a perfect match. Both are tough as nails. I find the 640 to be too heavy for pocket carry.

Hey I'd love to find that under my tree. Very nice. I carry my j-frame in a Tucker cover-up ( for IWB ) and a Fist OWB.. Both are excellent

I like that holster you have, does it ride pretty high? is it tight into the body? I like the looks of that alot better than the kramer. Do you know if they make that holster in all shark? thanks

I am sure Matt will make it for you in all Shark but be prepared to wait a very long time as with any holster from him. The holster rides nice and close to my body and perfect height for me. I do prefer close, high riding holsters at around 3 to 3:30 with a rather neutral canrt on my waist. The problem i have with the Kramer belt scabbard is the FBI cant and possible issue with my laser grips. I don't know if you can get them to make a neutral cant belt holster. Their vertical cant holster sticks out a bit on my waist. The Milt Sparks PMK is very nice but it sits a little too low. You could give FIST a try. They make nice leather/kydex at a great price and offer many custom touches.
