I used to own one, just recently sold it to my brother. It is an excellent weapon!

My wifes carries a PT-111 and loves it. It shots good and is fairly accurate. If it had an ambi safety, I'd probably have one too.

Am liking mine so far, have it on now. Feeds whatever I put in it and to date have not had any problems out of it.
Just remember that shot placement is much more important with what you carry than how big a bang you get with each trigger pull.

Never shot the PT111, but have a PT140 and love it. Something you might want to consider for it, especially for night/low light use.

I had one for a few months... Just didn't fit my hand right, and where my thumb naturally wanted to sit kept releasing the mag. It's hard to find accessories for 'em, and mags are expensive, but nothing major to be aware of, just didn't work for me. The price is sure right though! Enjoy.

Did not like it, got rid of it to my brother.
He loves it, shoots it well.
Just the difference in taste and what we like.
    Not a bad weapon.

I have the non pro version...the one that had "problems"..I've had none.I had one ftf,and it was because I frigged up the reload(at IDPA)and the bullet came out of the magazine while I was inserting it.It does shoot a little low for me and the trigger is LOOOOONG,but I still like it and carry it sometimes. It's weird,I shoot and carry revolvers and am used to long triggers and long resets, but the pt111 takes some getting used to.all in all I'd rather have a glock26,but the pt is a good gun,if you don't mind the trigger.and it is slimmer in the grip than a glock.

Like TonyB said, the older ones had problems. I had a newer PT140 and didn't have a lick of trouble. Taurus fixed the problems. How do you like the "straight 8" sights? That was my only issue w/ that pistol. I sold it to my uncle who thinks they are the best.

I had one for about a year. Finally traded it off.

I liked the pistol, and never had any problems with it, other than getting the hang of reassembly.

There was a known problem with some of the Millenium pistols, which made me nervous. There are four steel pins holding the frame together, and apparently they were having problems with the pins shearing. I don't recall the details, but......Google is your friend.

First off I want to say I love taurus weapons. I have owned a few and would still own them if someone would not have broken into my house and taken them. With that said I work in a gun store and we send more Tauruses back for repair then any other gun. The thing I have noticed is most people that buy one do so for the price (they are very afforable) and they don't take the best care of them. One we send back had aluminum shaving in it. I found out all the guy ever shot was blazer shells and he never cleaned if. Finally after 2000 rounds it broke. The nice thing is Taurus has a lifetime warranty, even if its second hand.

I went Saturday to look at a PT140 and they only had a PT111 in stock. I looked at a few other guns while I was there. I went back Sunday and left the store with a M&P40C. I have heard about the spring problem with the PT's. They look like a well built gun, I never shot one. The price looked right for the PT111. Good luck with it!
