I think my wife bought me a Desert Warrior for Christmas. I am so excited I can't stand myself. I have been searching for extra mags, IWB holster and other stuff. I can't decide on the holster. I am not sure if I will put away the G23 for the Kimber or just alternate what I carry. Are the Kimber mags OK ot should I get anather brand????

IMO the kimber mags are better than they used to be...BUT I would buy some Wilson Combat mags...for the price, it is a great piece of mind.

I've tried different brands of magazines in Kimbers and Colts, and the best I've found are the Wilson Combat 8 round with flat steel base pad, like these for $30 from Midway:

You will put away the G23, for awhile at least. I use the KimPro Tac-mags they work perfectly.

I'll second the Kim-Pro mags. They have been flawless for me. The Wilson 47D's are very reliable from what I've read but I have no first hand experience with them. Wilson is also coming out with a new mag that might be of interest as well:

You can't go wrong with the VM2. Here's a link that may have it in stock. They are a little more than ordering directly from Milt Sparks but if they have it in stock, you can get it now as opposed to possibly having to wait 6 months. And really, less than $30 more isn't that big of a deal.

You will love the Kimber of which I have 5. Just shoot them till they are 100%, and in my experience with mine and others I know who have them, it takes a bit.

The Desert Warrior is a great weapon. It's my primary home defense handgun. When I do carry it, I use an HF1 from Tucker Gunleather.
I use only Wilson Combat mags in both my Kimbers.
Desert Warrior (right) beside the Ultra CDP II.
With the original grips and the Insight M3X mounted.
With Kimber rosewood grips.

The .45 was the one that I've had the magazine issues with....bought Wilson's & no more problems.

Get some Tripp Research Cobra Mags, even higher quality build than Wilsons (pricier though), can't even see where they welded it!

I use CMC 8 round powermags....excellent for the price and work flawlessly in my TLE2....the only malfunction I have ever had with my mine was with the Kimber OEM mag...suffic to say, it is just a range mag now...good luck with your Warrior...it's a nice piece...

Fine leather work in those pics. I wish you hadnt posted them. Now I have to give the Tucker folks a call and spend a few bucks. Hate to wait 6 months,but it looks like it will be worth it.
