    No longer unarmed

Well I got my carry gun. After much research I decided to get... drum-roll please ...a Steyr S40.
I stopped at the gun store on the way home from Christmas shopping and they still had the S40 that I've been eyeballing for almost a month. I have heard nothing but good about Steyr handguns, so I decided to go for it. I got it for $425 with 3 mags.
I was able to put 30 flawless rounds through it last night. It was dark so I was really just getting a feel for how it shoots. Low recoil for a .40 and it fits my hand just right.
Now I just need to get my CHL and a holster (hopefully next month). I will post pictures as soon as I can...

Congratulations! Nothing quite like the excitement of a new firearm. Now, buy a ton of ammo and shoot, shoot, shoot. Enjoy it!

Congrats on your new handgun. Everything I have read shows they are good guns.

We need pictures not of course!

Congrats, great guns from everything I hear.

They have a very strange grip angle, even when compared to a Glock.

The only hard part will be finding a quality leather holster that is built for that model.

Congratulations on making the decision to carry. Those Steyrs are peculiar little buggers but I like 'em. I just wish somebody would make night sights in there triangle configuration.

I thought you'd never ask. Gotta brand new AKJ Concealo custom made for my Steyr. Never worn. I'll put it in the classified section of the forum.
