Anyone Want a Colt Det. Spcl?

I found a nice colt det spl at my local shop.

the gun has white paint on the front site, it looks like it is covering red paint.

the only ware is on the end of the barrel from a holster, minor ware but there. the rest of the blueing is spotless. The grips look new.

    price is 400.00

I can pass along the shop info if wanted.

Thanks for spying it out for us. They're awfully classy little concealed carry revolvers and easier to shoot well than a J-Frame S&W, at least for me.

the colt felt amazing. I should of bought it. I may trade my XD9sc in on it. That is if the g/f is cool about it. I need to go to the IGA to get my backbone back first before I go bring a new gun home.

The Dick Special is a great handgun, and they're not making any more of them. I carry mine often and feel totally confident in its capabilities and in my ability with it. If it's in really great shape, $400 is not a bad price at all.

They are great little guns, and I would love to own one again soon.

I bought one last year off of gunbroker and when I received it it had rust all over it from condensation while shipping.

I was so disappointed that I ended up working a financial agreement out with the seller and then selling the gun to recoup the rest of my money.

I guess I have been gun shy since worrying that they rust easy.

stmcelroy, the seller could have avoided that problem with a light film of RIG before shipping the revolver. Blued Colt revolvers have no special problem with rust. Only inattentive folks do.

I figured as much, I just couldn't see using it for a CCW if it rusted so easy.

I think the biggest problem was being in a plastic box in USPS possession for 4-5 days sitting in different climates.
