So I got my wife to apply for a CCW permit. And for Christmas I bought her one of these babies to go with that CCW permit, once it comes in. A Taurus 85SS2ULCH .38 Special.
awesome pistol IMO. I carry one with the regular spur hammer quite often. My sister got the one without the exposed hammer and I wish I had. I really like them both.
I've fired hundreds of rounds from mine without a hicup. I often shoot mine out to 25 yds and can hit a cardboard 12 pack carton with it, freehand, every time at that distance.
BTW: If it came with a set of small grips like mine did, I'll warn you ahead of time to leave the big rubber ones on. I tried the small grips, but when firing with the skinny grips the trigger guard slams the crap out of the shooter's middle finger.
With the big rubber grips it shoots like a dream.
Does anyone know if there are issues with a internal hammer? Never really had one. Does it make a big difference as opposed to an external one?
