    Thumbs up New Bersa Thunder

Morning all. Just thought I'd pass along my wife's extra christmas present from me.

I put money down on a BERSA THUNDER .380 DELUXE yesterday for when she goes for her permit in January or February.

She doesn't know it yet, but after the christmas bonanza of craziness is over, I'll pick it up. I've already got her another present from the kids & me for christmas morning.

She's a little warry of recoil at this point, so I figured the .380 auto would be a excellent choice in caliber for her first CCW.
I took her the local dealer I use & both of us looked at the WALTHER PPK and the SIG232 they had used, but she likes the new BERSA the best for it's size/feel/and safety features

I also ordered an extra magazine that hopefully will be in a few weeks, by the time I go get it.

You made a wise choice grasshopper. FYI my wife loves her's and now carries it (a 380CC) instead of the LadySmith 38 she's had for 20 years.

Yup, ditto that. Had a .380 DT for 3 months now, and it's just a lot of fun to shoot, accurate as anything, and most concealable.

    Good choice . . .

My wife fired my .380cc and decided not to give it back to me. They truly are great little guns.

If you haven't had a Bersa before, I'll recommend you get the wrap-around rubber grips and put a little dab of LokTite on the screws when you install the new grips. The grip screws would tend to loosen at the range. One time a screw fell out in front of the next firing station! I had to ask the gentleman there to allow me to retrieve it (I used a broom to sweep it back to behind the firing liine.)

I love the Bersa .380cc that I have. I know that over 1/2 of the police officers that I know carry one as 1. Backup 2. Off Duty 3. Backup to the carry.

    Good choice!

I really enjoy mine and have put several hundred rounds through it without any FTF. For the money I think it's lighter and works better then my PPKS did. I sold my PPKS about 2 months ago. Right after shooting in my Bersa and finding out it was much more reliable then the PPKS every was. .

I carry a Kimber Ultra Carry II in a Crossbreed SuperTuck. My wife carries a Walther PPS .40 w/Crossbreed holster.

Every female that has shot my Bersa .380 preferred the feel/recoil of my fullsize 9mms.

My females, wife and daughter prefer the feel/recoil of my bersa 380's to both my Kimber Ultra Carry II 45 and Kimber Ultra AegisII 9mm just works that way for them.

    You're comparing a .380 to a .45?
