    New CCW gift !

I've had my CCW permit since June but didn't carry much in the summer because the only weapon I owned was my full size M&P 9mm.

When the weather turned cold I started carrying my M&P in a Don Hume JIT under my coat. This works well but, I kept complaining around my son-in-law, who carries a P3AT, about my summer carry problem.

Well, my daughter and son-in-law decided to surprise me yesterday with a brand new P3AT. They presented it to me early so as not to stirr up the rest of the family on Christmas day.

    Now that's a Christmas present!

Merry Christmas!!! Hope you got one of the keepers!! Do the F&B and take it to the range. Nothing like pocket carry for deep concealment. I have two of the NAA Guardians and one is always on me and I can't even tell it is there.
Congrats, but what did you get them? Hope it wasn't a fruit cake, lol!!!

Now you can carry two guns in the winter.

I have one of thoes p3at's...fun little gun. My hands are thick so careful of the slide bite. I'm used to it now but such a cool little piece. The few times i'm not armed running around my house and I decide to run out to the local gas station i'm prone to grab that little guy and pop him in my front pocket. Got a cool holster with a spare mag holder, very flat and leather.

Nice. I think I should have complained more about things, maybe I'll get a new pistol.

I was just looking on-line at the Desantis Trickster for back pocket carry in the summer. I wear fairly tight fitting jeans and T-shirts tucked in so, summer carry is difficult.

Does anyone have experience with this holster?

You know, I never remember the shirts, ties and cologne I have gotten for Christmas, but I can name every gun! Congrats on your tiny carry!

That son in law is a keeper I'll tell you that.

I still do not think I would trust my life to a .380 though. I still carry my G23 in the summer or winter months. I see no reason that my life is any less worthy of protection just because it is hot out. In fact, you are much more likely to be the victim of an assault in the hot summer months than in the cold of winter. So why do some go to a mouse gun caliber when it gets hot? That never made sense to me.

Now that is what I call a great gift. Can I send them my list next year?

The way I dress in the Oklahoma summer weather, my choices are:

    Mouse gun and a knife.
    or
    Knife only.

    I do understand though.
