The Kimber is on the nightstand (Locked and Cocked), and the Winchester 1200 Defender (with 6 in the tube) is ontop of the dresser hutch.

My Daughter is 14 and can use both weapons.

    Just kidding.

Wedged between the box spring and mattress with the butt sticking out. Cell phone on the night stand. I'm on the far side, away from the door. Roll off the bed for concealment, arm, identify threat, shoot if needed and / or call for back up.

The kids know how to handle firearms and are not sheep. We have a family plan.

You mean that sometimes SHE likes to wear the ankle holster?

My Kimber sits on the nightstand only inches away...next to the OC, cell phone, and E2e...
The dogs would notify an intruder, so no one else is going to grab it while I'm sleeping.

    Stay armed...stay safe!

On a shelf, in my head-board-- about 12 " from my head, along with flash-light.

Ruger with my light stays right in front of my clock on my nightstand that touches my bed.
The preceding post may contain sarcasm; it's just better that way. However, it is still intended with construction and with the Love of my L-rd Y'shua.

In a holster attached to my bed frame. There is also an 870 at the bedpost and another 1911 under the mattress.

The following are out of sight in holsters attached to our bed frame .. 44 mag with specials, 44 Spl, 38 J frame (the NY reload) and 2 mag lites. Spousette can handle the 44's real well too.

No kids, locks, safes, dogs or shotguns.

1911 under the mattress. Made 2 velcro straps up and tacked them to the bead on our box spring. Have a 870 riot there under the sham making it invisable but with a quick tug it's ready to go. First they have to pass my security system then my 105 lb. American Bulldog. Sleep well every night.

When the kids were still home, in an accessible lock box bolted to my headboard. Since they're gone, C&L on the shelf by my head, along with a Surefire 6P. Leaning against my bedroom door frame is my Remington 870 Police Special with 8 rounds of 00 buck and a Surefire foregrip. I've also hung another 1911 on the wall at shoulder height just to the right of my front door...accessible in a second, but invisible to the visitor.
