    Taurus 444

I did a search on here and came up with nothing.
Anyone have experience with the Taurus 444 Raging Bull 44 Mag 8.375" bbl Revolver? I notice the grip is slanted more than on a S&W of camparable size. Any pros or cons would be appreciated.

You will get a lot of different responses when it comes to Taurus, most will recommend saving a few more bucks and getting a S&W, sorry I don't have any experience with the RB as I have taken the same advice!!

I looked at the Raging Bull a few years ago, but was actually looking at it in a 454 Casull. I opted to go with the Ruger Redhawk, over both the Taurus and the S&W, in a 44 mag however.

The Ruger just felt better, looked better and for a gun that is going to shoot loads with that much pressure and energy I prefered the way that the Ruger was built compared to the others.
Just remember that shot placement is much more important with what you carry than how big a bang you get with each trigger pull.

Thanks for the info. I think if I was looking at a Ruger, I'd go ahead and spend an extra $75.00 or so and get a S&W.

I'd go with a Ruger in any large magnum caliber. They are built stronger than either Taurus or S&W, plus they have no internal lock to malfunction. (At least not yet, anyway)

Some companies sell really hot ammo that is "Ruger/TC Contender only." There's a reason for that. Rugers are extremely strong designs.
