Personally I feel that the Tripp Cobra mag's are probably the top mag going but that said Wilson Combat makes a very good mag that I have had little problems with. Never had a problem with a tripp mag yet.

I prefer original 7-round mags. Wilson's Elites stick out way too far for me. The eight rounders are mainly modified sevens, and/or extend the mag below the grip. I carry a Kobra Carry also, and demand a flush-fit mag. Why spend the money on such a superb bobtailed weapon only to shove an extended mag inside? My suggestion (after 10 years of use) is the Metalform...rounded metal follower, welded baseplate, 7-round, flush-fit. I'll gladly give up one round for flush-fit and dependability. After all, in my Brommeland's double mag pouch, I've got 14 more rounds on my left hip! Brown ships with and endorses 7-rounders too, who do you believe? My Wilson Protector was shipped with a Wilson 7-round mag. If their 47D's are so great, why didn't they provide two with a new pistol?

That's true, I didn't even think about what gun you were talking about. Definately get the good flat metal base plate mag's for that gun. Wilson also makes a 7 rnd mag with a very thin base pad I think would work good too for the KC.

I know I have at least 12-15 Wilson mags that are 22 years old that have seen some hard use and they're still going strong...haven't had any need to try out any other brand. Also, these mags are used for range use/IDPA matches only...I have much newer Wilsons I use for carry.

Metalform, ACT, or MecGar mags work very well in my guns.

+1 for Tripp Research Cobra Mags.
I didn't try everything, but I tried CMC and Wilson, and my gun didn't like them. Then I got the Tripps, and life is sweet.

Tripp was having problems with some of their 8 rounders not being able to quite take 8 but, that has been all taken care of now. Just FYI.

I like my Wilsons. They're 8 rounders with a Tripp Research follower and spring. No problems after two years and probably 2000 rounds.
