Managed to get myself a Kahr MK40 for a great price. I gotta say, this is a solidly built little carry gun. Put 100 rounds of wwb, and 35 gold-dots through it with only 1 ftf with the wwb. Very solid well made handgun. I like the weight of it. Still evaluating it's reliability before I decide to carry it, but I gotta say this is a nice little gun. Needs a metal guide rod(never understood why a nice metal alloy gun comes with a plastic guide rod), and some new wood grips, but other than that, very nice.

The MK's are very nice. I'd make the changes you suggested too.

Yes, the MK's are great little guns. Had a MK9 for quite a while and sold/traded it off in a moment of weakness. Probably my issue was for such a little gun, it really needed to be carried on the belt and not in a pocket.

I'd really love to pick up a MK40 Covert model one of these days. Short grip with a longer barrel like on the K40.
