    My new one!

In September, I won a 35% off Certificate from Para-Ordnance for any handgun they make. After a three month wait, this is what I picked up yesterday.

    A "Slim Hawg" SS 3" .45 ACP.

Now, just gotta pray for the rain to stop so I can try it out!

Just put the first 100 rounds (CCI Blazer Brass) through it. I had one FTE on the last round in the first magazine. It never happened again.

Shooting at some paper plates, at 7 paces (about where you have to qualify for MO CCW), I had no problems keeping all of them in about a 3" group. At 10 yards, they all stayed in the bottom of the paper plate, and at 15 yards they were pretty well spread all over the plate. But, at 52 and wearing bifocals, that's about the best I can do anyway. The gun definately wants to shoot better than what I can manage.

The magazine release is still pretty stiff to operate, and it takes a fairly good slap to seat a magazine, but I'm sure that will wear in in no time.

    All in all, I'm pleased!

    Hey MoMike,
You think accurate shooting at a distance is harf with bi-focals, I'll let you borrow my tri-focals. Getting old sucks, but sure beats the alternative I guess.

They are nice little guns, I have one and it would FTF on the last round in a mag. Fixed after a good cleaning and lube job. I carry mine in a C.T.A.C slide, and its awesome. I personally love the wood grips but if you are interested in finding some aftermarket they can be tough to find. I do know that grips made for the para C6.45 will fit.

Man, I wish our local sunday paper carried those type of coupons, I would be up early with coffee ready, waiting for the paper to get to my house...

Very nice firearm....Para makes some darn pretty pistols...

This coupon was an award certificate won at a sporting clay tournament. It took a dealer willing to send in their check and a copy of the FFL, plus the certificate (after I picked out what I wanted). Then there was a 3 month wait for them to send it.
