Can't see my Beretta 92SF sights without glasses!

    Hello all,

I love my 92 INOX. However, I can't see the sight picture without my glasses on. This is a bummer because I shot my friend's XD 40 and I had no problem at all with the std. sights!

I can't presume that I will be able to reach for my glasses when I really need them...

What type would be the easiest to see with? I realize only the rear sight is removable and will have to have something done about the front...

Is it worth it? I am dead on with this gun and would really like to keep it.

    Thanks.

I have 60 y/o eyes...getting Trij night sights help in low light AND during the day the bigger dots make it easier to see without glasses.
Thus, two birds with one stone... Now if there were a problem in a parking lot...having sights probably won't help anyway...OMO

I'll have to see if a dealer around here has some I can look at. I guess the slide will have to be cut out as well...

Yeah, if it isnt dovetailed, it will need to be. Another option would be to paint your front sight. That just might do the trick.

Worked for me. I used some white Duplicolor auto touch up paint on the front sight.

It could be that you don't have any light on either side coming through, which hurts your sight picture with poor eyes..maybe you can have the front sight thinned a bit...I had a 6904 and it was a great gun, but I could't see my sights either since there was no light showing through, so I switched to a P7...I probably should have thinned my sight, but I didn't think of it back then....

I think I'd go for fiber optic front and standard rear.

I've got Big Dot 24/7 on my Beretta 96 and my XD9S and they're great. Now to get them on my Taurus 1911.

Well I can't give you any more advice better then you already recieved, but I wish I had your problem, I have to wear glasses all the time so I can see beyond my front sight.
