Going Over To The Dark Side

    http://www.sightm1911.com/lib/review/XD-9_Tactical.htm

    My preference in semi-auto handgun is # 1 SIG, # 2 Glock, and # 3 PARA-ORD "LDA".

I am in the process of testing Springfield XD in 9mm and 45 ACP - Tactical 5" barrel, my tests take a year.

Revolvers is there anything besides COLT, when talking about quality of reliability and accuracy, esp since 1994 with S&W and Ruger in direct agreement with and support of the 10 round magazine limit.

Bill Ruger has passed away, and S&W is no longer owned by the British. Both companies produce pistols with high capacity magazines. There is no reason to avoid either company, other than maybe the stupid locks on S&W revolvers.

Anyway, there are plenty of older Ruger and S&W revolvers floating around out there. Since you are gong to buy used anyway (there are no new Colt revolvers), it doesn't really matter which brand you get.

Personally, I like Ruger revolvers for their heft and durability.

What are you going to do with those mags you worry about and a revolver?
