Detonics 9-11-01 Mags?
I recently bought a new 9-11-01. I love the gun and it shoots great and is very well made, but...
After cleaning the gun after the last range trip, I noticed that the magazine had a symbol on the base plate, CMI. I thought that Detonics made all their own mags! Did I get ripped off somewhere along the line, or do they contract out for the full size 1911 mags? Dont get me wrong, I like the checkmate mag, it works great, but if I bought this gun new, shouldnt it have a Detonics mag?

You'll find lots of manufacturers contract out or re-brand magazines.
