Which Gun Would Have Harder Recoil?
. . . a Kel-Tec p11 with standard pressure 9mm jhp (like winny white box) or a S&W 642 Airweight with 110 grain self defense ammo (non +p)??
What about the Kel-Tec with 115 grain +p versus the Smith with the 158 grain FBI load??
what would be your choice?
thanks in advance

P11 IMO - 38's aren't bad, and all the weight is moving in plastic guns.

On balance the semi should win - mainly because some recoil energy is being absorbed by the cycling ..... plus the bore axis could be a tad lower.
That'd be my choice. Not, to be honest, a fan of Airweights much as I love snubbies.

I've fired all of the above and the Kel Tec has less perceived recoil to me. I'm with Chris, and prefer steel-framed snubs. I'm allergic to aluminum alloy and plastic.

I think the 642 would have more felt recoil but with the ammo you mentioned it still wouldn't be too bad.
