    First carry gun

Well I did it. CHL finally came and after much looking, waiting, and fondling in local shops finally went with a Kahr CW9. Just felt right in the hand and shoots pretty well. This is going to be my main handgun for a while so I wanted something small enough to be able to carry, but not too small that I wouldn't enjoy taking it to the range. Also looked at a Springfield XD9 sub-compact and it was very nice, though I decided on the Kahr due to "thinness" and price.

Nice choice. Take the time to learn it well, and it will serve you well.

Congrats on the CHL and the new purchase. I can't speak from first hand experience but I've always heard nothing but good things about Kahr. Now get out and practice with that thing and get acquainted with "her".

welcome to one of many guns to come. It took me 20 years but but i've got 11 guns currently and have romanced about a dozen more that i (regretably) traded in over that time.

You'll love the gun, but I implore you - put in an order for a quality IWB holster!

Congratulations....on the CHL and the Kahr. Great choice.....I've carried a K9 for over 10 years.

My first holster was the exact Uncle Mike's that you have there. PLEASE......do not use it to actually cc, it simply isn't secure. Get a high quality holster molded/designed for your weapon.

    Enjoy!

Guess you haven't read much on the Kahr PM9. That said, I love mine and have had no problems with it unlike a lot of other unlucky folks have.

Definitely, that's next on the list. This was just one they had at the local shop since I had nothing and they were out of pretty much anything else.

Now the search for a decent holster....which will probably be just as involved as picking the gun.
