    Older desirable and collectible pistols

    Ok Gang
Here's one you've probably never seen. A 1905 Colt Auto, in 45 ACP. pristine condition as you can see. It has a 3 digit S/N as well.. with engraving on the slide and interesting grips as well. Let's see what interesting items you've stashed away in your safes..
Thanks Bud for re-doing the pix.. I had trouble uploading them, and Bud did his magic to make it possible

Only real ''oldie'' is my MkVI Webley - in .455. It was once a rather sorry corroded piece and I did a total strip and rework - only tho using many applications of cold blue - not that robust a finish but by keeping it wiped down with RIG or CLP it copes quite well.

Had to get a replacement mainspring and top-strap lever spring too.

One annoying fault it has, which must be due to trigger notch/sear issues, is that if you SA cock it too far with hammer, it tries to lock up for some reason. I have not diagnosed the actual reason - partly I think cos it is a bear to reassemble!!

DA is just fine - tho you need to like a heavy trigger pull - feels like 20#!

I use Fiocchi brass and load a larger 230 grain cast RN than the usual .452 - it is a bit of a compromize and not ideal but does at least make it a shooter. These guns always make a very odd and distinctive sound signature - almost impossible to describe!

Love the Colt Auto Bob - nice to have that.
