    Smile New SW1911...

Well not quite yet. We were up at Bass Pro in Harrisburg Saturday and "she" cought my eye. But the price tag kind of killed it, since I don't exactly have 1K on hand. I was in luck this day tho... a guy gave me a coupon for 10% off any firearm, regardless of price. He said I could put $300 down now and pay it off over 3 months... I thought about it, looked at the 1911, looked at him, looked at my wife, looked at the 1911 again... got out my wallet and took his offer. Man I've been on a binge the past few months. First the S&W 619, then the Taurus, now this... I think I need a patch or something...

    Now the wait

Hmmm I wonder if a gunsaddiction patch would contain Hoppes #9 and traces of burnt gun powder?

Ahh forget it, even if there were a patch, I wouldn't be interested in it. That's a sharp looking S&W, congrats!

I almost got the Sig right next to it instead, but went for the S&W.

    Nice!

Did they let you cycle the action? My Bass Pro won't remove the trigger lock in the store.....period.

I just can't bring myself to buy an gun that I can't function test and check the quality of the trigger.

Nah they didn't take the lock off. I did handle it tho, and it weighs a bit. He told me you get what you pay for. I've heard nothing but good about the 1911's.

Gunitis - Very hard to treat but easy to diagnose. Wife cut me off this past year after a 6 month a gun imflamation. Seems to help if I stay off this forum and GB.

She's a keeper! You won't be sorry on that purchase.

My shop has the ones with CTC grips for just over 1 k$. You might want to shop around, the stainless and blued were the same price. But you won't be dissatisfied.

Congrats. I bought one of these a little while back. They are very nice and shoot great. I just wish I had more funds to shoot it more often. :( .45 gets expensive after a while!! Anyways congrats and enjoy!
