Talking New Addition: Kel Tec P3AT

I love this .380. It serves it's purpose well and is comfortable for a 12+ hour work day. It's so light and small ...the carry variations are endless!
The price was also perfect ... for a man on a budget.

The P3AT is a great gun. It's my low-threat all the time carry around the house, or if I am in CCW unfriendly situations that require extreme concealment.

They are great for carrying when you are not armed. I've had my P32 for 7 or 8 years. I thought about trading it for a 3at, but I cant come up with a good enough reason to.

I used to own one of those, while the size is great, I just don't feel comfortable carrying a .380, but it is better than nothing. If I had to pick another pocket piece, it would be the S&W 642 or 638.

Mine is a 2nd gen, has the hard chrome finish, and has lived in a Desantis Nemisis in my front pocket for several years now. I let it come out to play at the range once every month or two, followed by a good clean and lube session, blow the lint out of it every day... that's about it.

It's probably got 500 or so problem free rounds through it now. I used to use Hydroshocks in it, these days I've switched to gold dots. It's been through a couple boxes of winchester FMJ, as well. Never a problem.
Liberty is an inherently offensive lifestyle. Living in a free society guarantees that each one of us will see our most cherished principles and beliefs questioned and in some cases mocked. It's worth it.

I heard they are cheap made. I wouldn't trust my life with a .380 The only reason I would carry one is for deep concealment. Even then the Taurus .38 "snubbie" does the trick.

They are a trade off for sure. I like the idea of a nice concealable 380, but in reality it doesn't perform. Mine is effortless to hide, but has been unreliable from the get-go, fluff and buff not withstanding.

Also, get a mag extension on it.... you'll hold it a lot firmer!

I just picked one up last week. From what I've read, Keltec is producing better P3AT's now, but I still don't plan to ever carry it by itself. I do think it can be useful given the right circumstances.
