    Summer pistol

I am trying to look ahead to summer carry this year and realize all my pistols are pretty large for carrying in shorts and T shirt.
I got to thinking about a revolver, but might like a semi auto in at least 9MM. It needs to be small and will probably be carried in pocket or front belly pouch. It also needs to be sweat proof and fire every time, and have night sights as well.
Can anyone suggest what I might look at?

I have a Kahr CW9 that I absolutely love... you can get the P9 or PM9 with night sights. Both are very small and very nice guns IMNSHO.

You're going to get about a thousand responses on this one probably. One thing everyone will agree on is that summer can be a little bit of a challenge sometimes. I get by fine with a IWB and my G26. Just wear my shorts and wear my t-shirt or polo untucked and it works good. Looked at the SmartCarry but don't think that looks very comfortable to me. Just my opinion on it. Some people on here really like their Keltecs. Could look at those.

The only thing I could add to that notion is that mine is a G27! One of these IMO would be your best option to meet your requirements.

Kahr PM-9 (own one) or MK-9
Walther PPS (don't own, heard good things about)
    Sig 239 (wish I owned)
    Kel-Tek PF-9 (own one)
SA XD Sub Compacts (own one)
If you want a 1911 style pistol, there are a herd to choose from. (own this one)

    Just a few suggestions.

I know you said 9mm was your minimum but may I suggest a NAA Guardian. Solid SS so sweat is no problem, some of the SD rounds from companies like Corbon and Double Tap are very impressive and this thing can easily be concealed a pair of shorts with shirt tucked in. There may not be as much difference between 9mm and some hot 380 rounds out of such a small barrel, you would need to check ballistic tables to be sure. Make sure you check what type of gun they used and how long the barrel was. Mine Guardian is usally carried as a second gun, but there are times it plays the primary and I never feel under gunned. I also have a Sig P32, great gun but a bit large for pocket carry.

Ok, I should have prvided more information. I have fied Glocks, and really do not like them. I have trouble with the trigger, and their grips do not suit my hands well.
I have a Sig 226, which I have provlems with the grip size and trigger reach in DA mode.
I will take another look at the Glocks, but don't have much hope for them.
The Kahr may be a good one to consider.
I could go revolver, but have never been a big fan of the 2" barrel and revolver reload situation.
The 1911 handle and trigger reach suite me well. but even in 3", they are kinda big.
I'm thinking 9mm is a low as I want to go on the power scale.
You guys are doing great, please don't give up on me.

    + 1 on the Kahrs.

Either the PM or the MK. I've edc'd an older K9 for over 10 years in FL.....and it gets HOT down here! Easily concealed IWB under a t-shirt and absolutely reliable.

I carry a Kahr Arms P9 in a Tucker Gunleather IWB Coverup. This is an excellent combo all year round.

I carry a Kahr PM9 (Black DLC slide and Night Sights) in a Brommeland Max-Con V 80-90% of the time here in Florida. Conceals great and sometimes makes you forget you have a gun attached to your hip.

I carry the same pistols year around. Shorts and tshirt or winter wear, I can carry a Sig 220, 226, 229, 1911 Gov. or Commander size and I've never been made except by a friend that knows I carry. It's in the belt and a Sparks VM2. I'm 5'11" and 175 lbs., if that makes a differance.

1911 year round, and it gets HOT in Phoenix too. No harder to hide one IWB in shorts than it is in jeans.
