Funny thing happend at the trading post.

I walked in with a lemon S&W 686-5 PP (no lock but MIM hammer & trigger) and a Ruger KP345PR. The smith was a lemon because I had it to the factory twice. Once the hammer cracked and chipped. Once the action just kept locking up after recoil. I had the Ruger running good, but I could not ever trust my life to it.

I walked out with a new Glock 30 (rail + night sights) and a 1972 MOD-36 Chief's Special. Went to the range, and I'm very happy!

Was that an even trade. That's pretty amazing especially considering the Glock for the Ruger.

All said and done I payed $150 cash. The Ruger was only given $225 on the trade (with a third mag too). That shinny 686 got the rest.

Nice score. Gotta love vintage J-frames (or just J-frames in general).
