Yep. I bought one and it looked like it spent most of its life in the closet.

I've seen a few and they mostly look like a good buy.

I bought one and traded it back to the dealer for a 229. The one I got would not feed hollowpoints of any variety. The tip of the hollowpoint would always get caught on the bottom barrel feed ramp. Bullet placement was also very inconsistent, if it was the sights off, it wouldn't have shot 6 inches to the right on one shot and then 7 inches to the left of the next. I think it was because the barrel was loose on this one. Even with the gun fully closed, the barrel had a lot of movement. It also had some unappealing wear, like it had been rubbed on concrete and the importers stamp was horribly done and very fuzzy.
This is just my personal experience. I've heard stories both ways. Some have no problems at all, some have the same problems I mentioned and a couple of others. It depends on the person who had the particular gun you're looking at and how well they cared for it. Just be careful and make sure you can test this gun before you fully commit to it, or they have a good return policy.
