New sights for Glock 19?
I recently bouhgt a Glock 19 and find that I'm not to crazy about the factory installed sights! I am considering buying the xs-24/7 Big Dot Tritium Express set sights! Does anyone on this site have any shooting experience with these sights? This gun will be used for home defense!
Thank-you for any info on these sights!
Has anyone seen or used this sight made by sureshot!

P.S. For close up confrontations what do you prefer in sights for fast point shooting?
I don't own any but I've used them. They are not for me but I know guys that love them. It's one of those things that you'd have to try for yourself. I can't get precise enough with them but for an HD gun, they might be great.
I have used them and I'm not a huge fan. I like that you can pick up the front sight quickly. Now for the downside. The big dot and the v shaped notch are not great for precision.
A sight like the Ameriglo operator that has a front dot with a white outline and two rear dots that do not allow you find the front sight fast but still allow for the precision shot when needed. The Richard Heinie Straight Eight sights are nice too as are the standard Trijicon night sights.

Thanks for the info I’m going to get a set of Trijicon installed on my G19
My wife has the big dot sights on het Beretta Tomcat. Good for up close and fast, but not the thing for accuracy. We have Tru Glo TFOs on our Glocks, my 19 and her 26. They are great in any light and we have installed several sets with no complaints or returns yet. As for those triangle things:aargh4: Not for me. We had some on a rental Styer 9mm at the shop and I was lucky to hit the backstop with them.
I would also look at the TFO sights. They will be going on my G23 soon.
TFO's, the only way to go.. :)
Go with the Big-Dots...they're plenty accurate and they're a lot faster than standard notch-and-post sights.
here's a couple of vid. clips that show them in action:

Cat-O-Matic, I like the standard dot 24/7 sights much better. I have had the big dots on a Glock 17 and I now have the standard dots on a Glock 22. The standard dots are very fast and a lot more capable of precise shots, in my experience.
I've got XS Big Dots on my Glock 19 and love the sight picture. Mine do not have the tritium rear site though.
IMHO, the TFO's are way to big and look like they may catch on things and be easier to break. But I have never tried them and don't have plans to.
If you want standard night sights then I would look at Trijicon, Meprolight and Ameriglo.
