What sights would you recommend for close encounters inside a home that are fairly big and easy to keep on target (even if your target is moving)? The sites will be installed on a Glock 19!

In your scenario, 7 yds or less all you need is a front sight.
I've been curious about the XS 24/7 Big Dots. They seem like they would be ideal for a SD gun.
"Big Dot" type sites were originally developed for close dangerous charging game, like elephants. It seems to me that something similar would be good on a handgun for fast sight acquisition in a dangerous encounter. Personally I like a "night sight" front and a plain, no dot, rear.

I have XS big dots on my carry gun and love them.
While I do believe it is important to be able to point shoot well, I can't think of one reason to take sights off of a gun. If you point shoot, they don't hurt anything. If you need sights, then they're an option. Telling someone to take sights off of their gun borders on negligence in my mind.
Agreed, that is why I dont have the big dots anymore. They worked great, but I point shoot up close. If I am going to use sights, I need to be precise; big dots just are not meant for that.Quote:

I've been very interested in the SureSight sights, but they have been out of stock for a while. They seem like they would be good for both precise shooting and quick shooting...
I'd love to hear from anyone who has used them.

I have the SureSights on a XD-45, a red optic sight on the front and regular real Kimber sights on my Kimber Ultra and a green optic sight in front and a ghost ring on the rear of a glock 23. All are better than regular sights but I probably like the glock combination best. However in dim light the SureSights are the best.
I have trijicon on my G19 and Glock factory night sites on my G23. For "close encounters" I wouldnt take the time to use either- Point shoot!
You can fire 4 rounds by point shooting before one aimed shot.
