The Crimson Trace Laser Unit For The Kel-Tec P3AT

MSRP is $209. - Almost the price of the P3AT.
Neat the way they fit the laser to the gun though.
Could come in right handy on a firearm like the little Kel Tec as it's still a very tiny total package.

looks good,,,,,but why????? the p3at is made to be a small pocket gun. now with this laser you are adding more to it. yes,, not much, but you are adding to it. also, i don't see why you need a laser for a close in gun like the p3at. the p3at is a "bug" and when you start adding to it you take away for the major fact,, it is a pocket gun made for "point and shoot", when thing have gone bad. as you can see i don't like lasers on protection guns. when it "hits the fan" you will not have time to look for that little red dot. you will "point and shoot". on the practive range you have all the time to pickup the red dot. paper targets are not trying to kill you or your family.

It does help it look more like a wallet print instead of a gun though. I like it.

The $209.00 print in my wallet looks better. I have tried laser sights, I found that I was looking for the red dot, before pulling the bang switch. Not a good habit to get into. IMHO YMMV

I had the same problem with mt CT laser grips on my 340pd. Spent too much time looking for that red dot when I could through up the front site much faster. I sold them. They are kinda cool. My cat liked them more than me.

I can see some possible use for it being as it really does not make the P3AT less concealable.
Being down wounded, possibly disoriented and carrying the P3AT as a last ditch BUG.
It could be a possible advantageous plus.
If I were LEO w/ a BUG Kel-Tec I might bite on one.
Regardless, just presented as a FYI to make members aware of the fact that a decent one does exist.

Mehh.......the armalaser isn't much bigger (if at all) and cost less to boot.

To me the P3AT is more of a contact distance gun.

While lots of folks carry them as a primary weapon, for my taste, it would be used as a BUG.

Not much use of a laser for something that's gonna be shoved in someones ribcage and shot IMHO.

But for those who carry it as a primary ccw piece and feel the need, I suppose is the reason Crimson Trace felt the need to produce such a thing.

It is a really slick design. A confession, however, I am not big on Kel-Tec. That makes me a minority of one. But I would buy a different gun instead of pistol and the laser.

I like the design better than the Armalaser though!

Just so folks know this isn't vaporware, I held one in my hand this past week - it's freaking TINY!

The shop wanted $189 for it... that's nearly what I paid for the gun.

It sure is a well designed little thing.
That is what really impressed me about it.

I wonder how accurate a P3At could be at 10-15 yrds with the laser ?
