Who would attempt to claim it?

do me a favor and make sure that its where its supposed to be. Apparently they are so light that you don't notice that they are there or that they are not. While hiking this morning in North Georgia some friends and I noticed something on the trail in front of us. You guessed it ......A fairly new Taurus .38 with 4 rounds of Hydrashock. It rained hard over night and the Uncle MIke's soft holster was soaked. My friends wanted to leave it but I picked it up, unloaded it and put it in my pack. We dropped it off at the local Park Ranger station because it was on NAtional Forest land. Just another day on the trail........
Don't know, just didn't want to leave it for some kid to find and there was no way I was keeping it.
Only 4 rounds in it?, wonder what happened to the other one...lol.
My wife carries her Bulldog 44 with only 4 rounds. Old habits I guess.

The hammer was resting on the open chamber so I figured it was either someone who was used to the older revolvers or someone who had been told that it was safer that way. I wonder if they will have to turn it over to some other agency so they can track it through the original purchaser or if someone will just get a free BUG? Thats another reason I took it to the Rangers, the Sheriff's Office in the county where we found it has a habit of "losing" firearms left in their possesion.
Nice find.... maybe it won't be claimed and it will be yours.
