I like the Stock, how does it feel. Still keep positive control?

I love Alumagrips and have several sets. However, on my "extreme duty" Govt, I've got a set of VZ's black blasted canvas gatorgrips. Wonderful grip wet or dry. They age beautifully with dirt and the oil from your hands. Lots of character.

They all feel great, that's the problem! The aluma's do seem to just "stick" to your hand though. The cuts are that sharp. Not to the point of hurting, just kind of holds on. Could be good or bad if you don't get a good grip the first time, harder to readjust. I'm leaning VZ's and will probably leave them on for awhile. I like the stocks, part of why I bought originally. Just getting tired of the 3-tone I guess. I think the "stocks" aren't really stocks, but look close. I think they're McCormick slim carry rosewood.

I had some beautiful wood grips on my 1911SC but they just didn't feel right so I decided to break down and try some AlumaGrips.

I'll be the first one to admit they just aren't very "purdy" but I also have to admit they feel good and give me excellent control of my .45 when firing and don't sand the flesh off my side or hang up on my shirt when carrying! I'll be ordering another pair soon for my Springfield!

My vote is for the AlumaGrips!

The VZ's look better, but I'd go with whichever feel best in your hand. Form follows function, you know?
