I have a S&W 1911PD. I have already changed out the Main Spring Housing because it was squared up and would tear the flesh off your hand after about 200 rd. It has tridium night sights. I would love any other ideas to make this a better EDC weapon. I don't want to make it too modified for obvious reasons.

already been working on that, I put about 2000 rds thru it while on R&R with my wife and little brother.

Only thing I can think of is a good light and a 870 or Mossberg topped off for the house. Best of luck.

some good leather and lots of ammo. a few spare mags also as thats where most problems come from.

I'd say it needs a nice custom leather suit. If it works and handles well, leave it be and just feed it plenty of ammo!
