    One extreme to the other

I had been carrying a snubnose .357, but decided to go hog wild & picked up a SIG P220. Also have Blackhawk SERPA holster & mag holders coming. Always wanted a .45 but never really liked the 1911 design. Also have Crimson trace grips coming, an Uplula magazine loader, 2 more mags, and an inside the waistband holster from Brigade Gunleather. Going to use 230 gr FMJ for practice & HP for real. Is that going off the deep end, or what?!!

You'll like that P220. Did you get the SAO version?

No, it's the DA/SA model -P220R 8+1 rds, 4.5" bbl, black finish. I wanted to try & buy ONE .45 & shoot the h*ll out of it to get familiar with it. From what I read & hear, the SIGs are very durable.

By the way- any ideas on low cost bulk ammo?

I got a P220 Carry SAS. It's a sweet gun but I am still getting used to the DAK trigger.

Can't go wrong with a SIG in .45 ACP. A great pistol and round. Try out Winchester Rangers 230 gr. They are a little pricey and hard to find but what's your hide worth? Best of luck!

    Congrats! Great classic firearm.
You probably won't need the mag loader though.

Congratulations on the P-220. I have two of them and they are a joy to shoot and carry!

Excellent choice for a .45, the Sig 220.
