Wow, and I thought it was just me! I went to the gun show a few weeks ago, with intent to bring back a PM9 or a Keltec PF9. But after hearing all the mixed reliability reports on both, I couldn't bring myself to drop money on either.

I've had some of the same problems with my P45. Mine likes to throw the slide forward when a full mag is inserted. I sent it back to Kahr right away (btw, their customer service was really good), and they replaced the slide release and polished the feed ramp for me. Well, it didn't do it for a little, but now its back to the same old thing. I guess it isnt that big of a deal, I've just never owned a gun that did that. I've never had any FTE problems, but lately I had some FTF problems. The firing pin was hitting the primer, but not hard enough to set it off. It may have been from not having it clean. I have yet to hit the range and test it again.
It really is too bad that more than a few people have had problems with this gun. If things continue to go bad with it I may have to trade it in on a new Sig P250.

I still can't believe anyone on this board hasn't looked at a Kahr TP45....

I have a CW9 and it has performed flawlessly since the first round. I have fed it everything from reloads to Gold Dot 124gr. +P. I just ran another 50 rounds through it today and it ran perfectly. Hopefully Kahr will get it right for you, they really are very good pistols. My dad has a PM9 and it works well too. Any gun can fail, including Glocks (of which I am a huge fan). My father has a $800 S&W j-frame scandium that cracked and caused him to take shrapnel in the face. Smith fixed it very quickly but it still failed. Hopefully Kahr will fix it and you will trust yours as much as I trust mine.

    Dog gone it ARTZ!

I have looked at the TP45 - but my wife has also!

She said, "You love your P45, "close to 2000 rounds - and not
one single problem, and now you want a newer version with a
    longer barrell."

I'm sincerely affraid she may beat me over the head with it some night while I sleep. She wants me to rebuy another PM9 - for her.
I traded in the last one!

    Gloves up!

    PS:
I wash with the simple Green, and then apply (semi heavy)
TW25B; and she is good to go for couple months of steady
    shooting!

I had to send my K9 Elite to Kahr recently for a minor problem with one of the Kahr shop's stainless guide rods. I talked with a helpful, friendly representative, Mr. Luljeta Cani. He asked about the problem and promptly gave me a return authorization number. I had the pistol back in my hands in 7 days flat. I am very pleased. I have had several Kahr's over the past ten years and customer service, although rarely needed, has been first rate.

    Update!

Got it back today. The note said the slide release and ejector were replaced and the feedramp polished. The magazines were also swapped out. I marked the ones I got when I bought it, they returned it with two new ones.

Put 150 rounds through it. 100 Winchester ball and 50 Federal HST 230gr. Functioned 100%! Couldn't make it have any sort of failure.

Good work Kahr. I had to check the SN to make sure they didn't swap guns on me.

Anything can fail, how they handle it is what makes the difference. I'm happy that they got your gun back quickly and fixed!
