Just bought a new Walther PPS 9mm First Edition. I plan on putting at least 500 rounds thru her this weekend. I'll let everyone know how she shoots. It seems like a very nice, slim, light pistol.

Held another one a few days ago....sure does seem like a great gun. Can't wait to hear your range report.
I fondled one yesterday. It sure is slim. There may be one in my future...haven't decided yet. Your report will be watched for and read by many I imagine.
Played with one at the shop. I only dry fired it but the trigger was really gritty. I think it will smooth out after some use. It is on my list of things I'm considering. Right when I make my mind up on what I want to buy I think of something different.
Acquired one for use as a mold and of course had to shoot it.
I was very favorably impressed. Point shoots as well as my Sig229.
If it proves reliable, it will go into my personal collection.
I got one when they first came available.....I love it!!! Here it is with a K&D Defender.

Well, I took my new purchase to the range this weekend with the anticipation of firing hundreds of rounds but wound up only being able to fire 4 rounds. The first two rounds were flawless. Both were within a 1" group at 25 feet. The third round squibbed and went about 10 feet. The fourth round did the same thing. I switched ammunition (was using Speer Gold Dot) and this time, nothing happened. I tried several times with the same result. Apparently, my firing pin is not striking hard enough to ignite the primer. It's a shame because the gun feels good to handle and conceals very well in my ITW holster. Any ideas out there? I guess it's going to have to take the long road back to Walther for some smitthing.

My PPS, First Edition has performed flawlessly with 250 rounds through it so far. Not a lot of rounds, but very happy up to this point. I've got a .40 cal on "pre-order" as well.

Lord, please help me to be as good a person as my dog thinks I am.
I called S&W to discuss the paint flaking problem on the frame. They wanted me to send it in. Two weeks later Customer service called me back and said that could not fix it and had no replacements. CS wanted me to send in the rest of the gadgets that came with the gun with a copy of my receipt for a full refund. Too bad, I really liked the gun. I should have my check shortly.
