I'm really looking at buying one- seem like a great deal; a 45 with lots of upgrade features for $600. Does anyone here have one and carry it concealed? Looks like it would be comfortable since it's relatively thin.

Thin...but rather heavy. I'm up to about 200 rounds through mine with no problems yet.
For about 200.00 more you could find a deal on a Kimber 4 inch that might carry a bit better

I have put about 100 rounds through mine. Right now my slide is out having new sights installed on it, I personally did not like the Heine straight 8 sights, so switching to PT 3 dot night sights. As for carry, possibly in a OWB holster, but primarily bought for a range gun.
I prolly have about 2k rnds thru mine without a hiccup and carry it every day, every where I can. Good Luck. Sam.

I've got close to 1000rds through mine and i've not had a single FTF, I love it. I've yet to carry it, still looking for a good holster for it.
Better to be tried by 12, than carried by 6

It's not difficult to CCW a Gov't-sized 1911. I have the Taurus and love it! I heard a lot of bad things about the sights, but mine came with night sights and I prefer the two-dot system to the traditional three-dot system. However, my Taurus DOES NOT like mil-spec mags - at all. These are the same mags that my Rock Island likes and a friend's S&W likes. My Taurus, on the other hand, accepts the mil-spec mags but then they get stuck.
Go for it - it's a LOT of 1911 for under $600 (I got mine from an online dealer in Georgia for $499 3 weeks ago). Good luck!
