I have a friend who works at a local pawn shop where i purchase all my firearms, mainly because the guys up there are knowlegable and friendly and properly treat people with respect. Some of the local gun shops are maned by arrogant suspious people who would rather only sell to people they know.
I have experience owning and using various Glock, Walther and S&W weapons, but by far, my favorite is my old Taurus 24/7 .45.. Ive had others and shot many Taurus models. Its clearly my favorite.
So when my buddy calls me up and tells me I have to check out this new Taurus they got, I was there. I had recently sold my last firearm for financial reasons and was without weapon for 6 months or so. Things are better now and I wanted to re-arm.
This pistol looks like something from RoboCop, Its so solid and clean and modern. Its not listed on the Taurus website and I can only find VERY limited info on it using google and so forth. So its a bit of a mystery, but I couldnt pass it up due to its rarity.
Im going to the range today to try it out. Does anyone have any info on the history of this model? I heard something about Taurus purchasing a Beretta plant and it might have some of that DNA. Any info is greatly appreciated.
Thanks for the links Metro! Those were JUST added to the Taurus site, because at the time I posted this Thread, I had scoured the TiM site and it wasnt there.
Maybe they got ahead of themselves! I havent shot it yet, but Ill post when i do.
Cool looking Taurus, congrats.
It does look retro-futuristic. Be sure to let us know how it works out.
PS. Interesting place to shoot pics, can’t recall seeing any other taken in a vehicle before.
Looks like you can carry cocked and locked too?
Its basically a shortened pt92(the mags will even interchange I believe) with a chrome job and a few other minor things. Theres one at the gun shop I work at and it is a nice piece.
