I tried the XD9sc for pocket carry. In my opinion it is just to thick. So at least that might be one to eliminate as an option.

How about the PF9 or another kel Tec?
The XD sub compact will be too big for pocket carry unless you want to put the XD in a large cargo pocket. Just my 2 cents, Im sure some others can point you inthe right direction.

    I pocket carry a Kahr PM9 daily in a PCS Harpoon. Can't beat 7 rds +p 9mm in a pocket gun.

I carry a PF9 daily in front pocket. While something less will work, I went with a K&D. Long wait, but worth it for what you get.

I've been looking for a small 9 myself.
    I'll likely pick up a PM9 soon.
I've seen a few bad reviews, but the vast majority seem to swear by them.

Of the pocket 9mm's, I would go with the Kahr PM9. It is smaller than an J-frame, and weighs about the same as an Airweight Centennial. Compared to Kel-Tecs, the Kahr has a much better trigger and is available with night sights. Of course, it costs more. But I think this is a case of you get what you pay for.

    I'll put in a 4th vote for the Kahr PM9. I carry my G19 when I can, and the PM9 or S&W 442 when I can't fit or conceal the 19 well.

PF9 or PM9 for affordable options at the moment. POSSIBLY the Taurus PT-709 ('Taurus Slim') whenever it actually comes out...I just haven't found specs on it regarding its dimensions yet.

The PM9 is easy to carry in my Carhart/ Dickie jeans, I wouldn't know if you wore fashion jeans w/ tight front pockets. I cary mine in a Desantis Nemesis (~$20) pocket holster and that helps quite a bit. I used to use a cheap ($9) (uncle mike's style) and the Nemesis made as huge difference in comfort and keeping the gun from shifting.

I Carry my Glock 26 in a Nemesis pocket holster. I had thought originally that it would just be too thivk, but it turns out that it works ok. Maybe it's because I'm a big guy, but for whatever reason, it works.
