My first 1911! WHAT HAVE I DONE?

This is my new Clark Custom Compact Stainless Kimber Meltdown!
This is the coolest gun I have ever put my hands on I can't seem to stop touching it. The trigger is unreal and I haven't even shot it yet.
Here is a couple of pics, I will get some better pics later.

    ..welcome to the dark side....
Nice looking Kimber. Just wait...the urge will hit again. Slowly at first. The hunger can be fed with new mags, perhaps...on a good day a nice box of 230 JHPs. After a while the hunger will manifest itself in a burning to own a 2nd 1911, perhaps a new SIS, or a Ultra.
It never ends...and can only be held under control for a while....you've been warned.

Wow, talk about melting the edges. Looks a bit too melted for my taste , but hey, as long as you like it and it shoots good.

    Congratulations on your new 1911.
After you 'll have a chance to shoot it you will not be able to get the GRIN off your face for the rest of the day.

Beautiful! Guys, that's not just a melt job, it's a full blown build by the Clark Custom Shop, and on an early Series-I too! The magwell on a compact frame always sounded kinda weird to me, but that looks great. My poor old Compact Stainless hasn't been getting much attention since I customized and bobtailed my Pro SLE. You're new piece just might hurt my savings account! Congratulations!

Looks GREAT! Not much of a fan of melting, but if you love it the BETTER chance you'll carry it more often, right?

Yes indeed!! Get Irfanview (from IrfanView - Official Homepage - one of the most popular viewers worldwide ) and use that - it's easy and it's free.

All I and many might say is ----- what you have done is - start a long association with JMB's platform (or derivatives) which has no known treatment or cure It sure is heavily melded but it's still a fine piece.

The sharp edges and corners have been rounded down to make the gun less likely to snag on a holster or clothing. Like if you put a stick of butter in a saucepan and turn the heat on -- all the corners and edges become softer.
